3Good but incomplete  Feb 17, 2010
Overall, I like the product. I knew I would not use the shield when I bought it (it can be a pain). The box came missing the screen protector. The seller sent a "replacement" but it was a cheap substitute not the high quality screen protector revo is known for. I didn't send back the product because it wasn't worth the hassle to me. I would still buy from revo in the future.

5Great protection for iphone  Jan 30, 2010
This protects your from from everything.
Falls, spills, you name it.

Great product

4Safety first  Sep 26, 2009
This case is not the prettiest on the block but it does offer excellent protection for your precious iPhone.

I particularly like the earphone and charger slot 'plugs' that keep dirt and pocket lint from these sensitive and otherwise unprotected areas.

Of course, since using this case I haven't even come close to dropping the iPhone... Cheap insurance!

1Junk compared to revo for the original iPhone  Jul 14, 2009
I have a revo for my original iPhone and I love it. When I upgraded my phone, I naturally went with this case. The earphone port cover has a plug that's supposed to make it "better". I guess the one I received was molded wrong as it fit in at an angle and would pop up and out of the hole. Why put a plug on something if it's going to pop open and let dust and debris in? The screen protector also came pre-loaded with lint or debris. It was on my phone for maybe 10 minutes before I boxed it up and sent it back to Amazon, who took it back and refunded my money without a question. iSkin, on the other hand, has yet to respond to my polite email of complaint about their product. If you don't mind the little earphone plug/flap sticking up like a growth, ruining the sleek appearance of you iPhone - go for it. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

2Close, but Not Quite There  Jul 03, 2009
The case does what it intends to do, namely, protect the phone, both from scratches and impacts, and from incidental liquid ingress through the data connector and headphone jack (it is the only case on the market that has plug cover flaps, but these are only to protect against spills and sweat--they won't save you if you drop the phone in the toilet, so leave your phone in your purse or pocket if you take it to the necessary room). That said, there are some flaws which mean that I'm going to keep looking until I find the right product:

* really bulks up the phone. With the case on, the iPhone 3GS transforms from a slender wonder of industrial design to a rubberized brick. It's even worse if you clip the plastic screen shield to the back of the case. You might as well have a Motorola Q in your hand at that point.

* Silent mode switch sits against the edge of the access opening when in silent mode. It can be difficult to catch it with a fingernail to flip it back to normal sound mode.

* Headphone jack plug doesn't fit all that well.

* Data port flap opens to the rear instead of to the front, preventing you from using a dock. Fortunately, you can still use the USB cable.

* Screen cling film reduces brightness and clarity. This one should be easy to fix, fortunately, what with the large varieties of films available. That said, the film does provide additional fingerprint resistance, and the feel of it when using finger gestures is quite smooth.

* Edges of screen cutout make operation of soft keys at the edges of the display difficult to use. Examples: "clear history" in Safari, and most of the controls in the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed demo. Ideally, they'd either chamfer the screen cutout or give an additional 1mm border or so around the screen.

* Can't snick the phone into a windshield cradle (e.g., the Griffin Window Seat) with the cover on. To be fair, this is likely going to be true for every cover on the market.

* Button covers give poor feel--the bumps for them aren't raised enough. The sleep/wake button is a particularly bad example.

* Rubber cover offers a good, secure grip, but it also grips whatever's in your pocket with the phone. If that happens to be cash, then the money can easily fly out of your pocket when you pull out your phone. Better pay attention to that!

What's the ideal protector? To me, it's a thin, durable stretch cover to protect the phone from scratches, a clear film for the screen, retained plugs for the headphone jack and data connector (that don't interfere with docking), and perhaps cutouts in the corners to allow for using a car cradle.

If any of what I perceive to be flaws for this case are showstoppers for you, then give this cover a pass.
