 Disappointed in Material Feb 24, 2010
Purchased two iSkin, one breeze blue and one purple. I was disappointed in the material first of all, the advertisting gives it the appearance of being kind of a hard shell material but it is soft rubber, it is better than some that is on the market but not what I expected. The color did not "POP" as you see in the pictures. The breeze blue, once installed on a "Black" iPhone did not even look blue anymore because the cover is transparent and the black phone distorts the actual color. It is like mixing blue and black and you end up with "XX" color... It is still a pretty good cover, just not the glossy look as you see in the pictures. I would recommend only if you can get a decent "Amazon" price...these phone covers are SO ridiculously priced! Half the cost or more from Amazon vs. retail local store!

I spent way too much time looking for the perfect case. I read many reviews on here and different iPhone forums to try to decide on the perfect case for me. I work in an office and use my phone for personal use. I previously used the Otter Box defender case. I wanted a new case that gave me good protection but that let me enjoy the beauty of the phone. I liked this case as well as the Switcheasy Rebel and Torrent. I got this one through [...] with my AMEX rewards points (24.95 if I had to pay for it). I also went with this one because it is just one piece so I wouldn't have to mess with multiple parts to get it on the phone.
I love the material of this case. Many have had a hard time describing it. I like to think of it as a hybrid of a hard case and silicone case. You get the best of both worlds. It gives great protection while having a nice grip and feel.
The mirror screen protector is not the greatest. I bought the red on for me and the blue one for my fiance. Her screen protector has the rainbow effect many have complained about. Mine does not. I also bought some clear ones that I will put on after the mirror one wears out. I screwed up with the mirror one at first and had to wash it off with warm water and soap and reapply it while it was still a little wet (smooth it on with a credit card) to get it on right.
The case itself can be hard to put on. I had to try several times and play with it until I got the holes to line up. Once you figure it out everything lines up perfectly.
I have only used this case for 6 days, but I love it. It slides in and out of my pocket very nicely. My fiance can now fit hers in a pocket in her purse, which she loves.
The complaints about it collecting dust around the rim of the case on the screen are true. You just have to wipe it off once in a while. I am ok with this because I like to lay the phone on its face (it has a lip to give you protection to lay it on its face) because I can see the nice Apple logo through the case. I have a black iPhone and love the candy apple look it gives the red case.
I also looked and the Speck Candyshell but went with this because of all the reviews that said the small piece at the bottom cracks/sags. This one feels like it will be solid for a while.
Really recommend this case to anyone. I want to get a few other colors to have eventually.
I did not give it 5 starts because if the screen protector and the fact that the buttons are hard to push at times.

This case is perfect for people who want some protection for their iphone without sacrificing style. It goes on the phone pretty easily, and once on, fits it like a glove. It's also got a nice grip, but isn't gummy feeling and won't attract any fuzzies. I have a black iphone, and like others have mentioned, it really does give it that candy apple red look. Plus the circles look etched on the back of the iphone itself, well...at least they do to me anyway. It's pretty damn stylish! I got the mirror screen protector on alright (just use a credit card to smooth out any bubbles), but I'm not sure how much I care for it yet. Not only do I have to stare at my ugly mug while using the phone, it collects oily fingerprints and dust like a magnet, so I'm always cleaning it; plus, it tints the screen a bit and gives it a rainbow-y hue at certain angles- not really diggin' that. If you're on the fence about it (like me), I suggest buying a separate clear screen protector for comparison.
Overall though, this case/screen protector combo is awesome! Especially for those of you out there that love the colour red as much as I do. You won't be disappointed with this case!

Quality and deliver as expected. Very pleased with this purchase. Cover fits perfectly, it looks very nice and to mirror face skin protects the screen without materially diminishing the view quality.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this case! Yes it is a steep price (but with the release of the FX SE), these have come down! I want one in every color! red & blue seem to be the only ones true to the color you see on your monitor. I have a white i-phone. purple, green & orange are a lot duller than the pic's online. Search youtube. It doesn't add much, it's smooth yet still a grip & not rubbery & doesn't attract dust/lint.
