Great Earpiece Nov 19, 2008 Great sound and voice qualitily. I would have rated this a 5 star; however, the earpiece broke within 3 days. I contacted support and they shipped me a new one. but I have to pay for shipping. Go figure.
Can't go wrong with Plantronics Nov 19, 2008 Simple, sounds great, looks great, comfortable. Could have a little more range, and battey life, but over all very happy with product.
Best Bluetooth for the iPhone Nov 19, 2008 I have had real bad cell service using my iPhone with the $100.00 iPhone bluetooth. In fact I had 3 exchanges at the MAC store with no measurable increase in quality of service. The Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Earpiece worked right out of the box. Some clients think I am at my desk on a land line, that is how great the Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Earpiece works! Best of all No Dropped Calls.

No way it's worth even half the price. Nov 18, 2008 I used to have a cheap Motorola HS850 ($40). With that headset and my current phone, I could leave the phone in my office, and walk 40ft down my hallway and out my front door and still have a clear signal. The signal was going through 40ft of distance as well as 3 walls.
With this new expensive fancy thing, I can literally walk 10ft across the room and it will disconnect.
The Hs850 was crystal clear all the time, with no static, no buzz, nothing. The 925 has a CONSTANT hiss/static noise, no matter what volume it's on. And let's not forget, it only has 3 volume settings, low/med/high, no precision at all.
The 925 doesn't have a mute button.
The clear earpieces stretch out after about a month of use and the headset will dangle straight down, so you will be forced to stuff pieces of paper inside the earpiece to make it tight again.
The 925 takes forever to turn on and off, and thus you will have the habit of leaving it on all the time, killing the battery. My old HS850, all you had to do was flip open the mic and it was on instantly.
The ONLY good thing about this headset is that it's light and it comes with a nice case that is great for recharging the headset.
I really regret giving my old cheap headset to my friend. I will never buy another plantronics device again.
Beats the jawbone 2 hands down Nov 16, 2008 the headset doesn't actually go in the ear so i'm not half deaf when i have it in. the silicon tips hold the headset in for hours at a time without compromising sound quality. every fourth or fifth call will have some static in it, but I have yet to have to call someone back because of it. the voice recognition software is not perfect, but i think this is a function of my phone, not the headset.
